Jonah Hill’s older brother, Jordan Feldstein, made a 911 call just minutes before his tragic death, but the cops are refusing to release a recording to the public while they are investigating the case. Could drugs be the reason the 40-year-old lost his life?
According to Radar Online, Feldstein placed the emergency call at 8:30 pm on December 22nd because he was having trouble breathing. But, by the time police and medical personnel arrived on the scene he was dead.
The Los Angeles County Coroner has said that they have not ruled out drugs as a possible cause of death.
“A toxicology test will be applied and included as part of the autopsy report,” the coroner added.
Feldstein’s family released a statement the day after his death that revealed he went into full cardiac arrest after the call. They also asked for privacy during this difficult time, and in lieu of food and flowers, they ask that mourners make a donation in Feldstein’s name to a charity.
PopCulture is reporting that substance abuse was likely a factor in the music producer’s death, but the police will not release an official cause of death until they conclude their investigation. Investigators say that the family has shared with them Feldstein’s history of heart problems as well as issues with substance abuse. They do believe this was an accident and not a suicide.
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jordan Feldstein. From Pablove's early days, Jordan and @maroon5 (one of the bands he managed) were loyal supporters. We're honored that the Feldstein family has chosen Pablove as the beneficiary of Jordan’s memorial donations. pic.twitter.com/ia7jGQZ2OM

Per Variety, Feldstein founded the management company Career Artist Management (CAM), which is based in Beverly Hills. The notable acts on the company’s roster include Maroon 5, Miguel, Elle King, and Robin Thicke.
Feldstein also negotiated Adam Levine’s contract for him to appear on NBC’s The Voice as a coach. He got his start in the industry working for ICM and Bill Leopold Management before branching out on his own.
Levine, Maroon 5’s lead singer, and Feldstein were childhood friends, and he managed the band from their inception, guiding them to become one of the biggest musical acts in the world. They have sold over 20 million albums and won three Grammys.

Immediately after Feldstein’s death, tributes appeared all over social media, including some from Iggy Azalea, Questlove, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, Big Boi, Juicy J, and Miguel.
Feldstein was married twice, including once to Francesca Eastwood (Clint Eastwood’s daughter), but they annulled the marriage. He also had two children.
Jonah Hill, who in the past has called Feldstein a mentor in his career, has not made a public statement about his brother’s unexpected passing.
