Ever since Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette ended, fans have been desperate to find out who will be the next Bachelor, and Good Morning America tweeted Friday morning that the wait will be over on Tuesday, September 4th. The morning show let fans know that they will reveal the news live and then follow it up with the Bachelor’s first interview, and the evidence is starting to pile up that it will be Colton Underwood.
Reality Steve, who has famously spoiled the last few seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, tweeted earlier this week that he once again had the inside scoop.

“(SPOILER): I know ABC has made last minute changes in the past, so it’s not technically official, but after the Paradise reunion taping yesterday, I’m hearing that they will be announcing the next “Bachelor” soon and it will be Colton,” Reality Steve wrote.
Unlike previous seasons, ABC did not announce the next Bachelor immediately after The Bachelorette finale. Instead, they decided to wait, and the timing of the announcement is basically confirming that they have made an unpopular choice.
But according to Life & Style, Underwood is still dating Tia Booth on Bachelor in Paradise — that season finale airs Tuesday night — and fans have been begging for ABC to announce pretty much anyone but him.
You aren’t broken, Colton, but you aren’t living as your authentic self. Just be true to you, if you’re not interested in girls give the Bachelor role to someone who does like Jason or Blake. There’s other opportunities out there like modelling and big brother

After posting his spoiler, Reality Steve also wrote that he believes the only successful Bachelor has been Sean Lowe, and ABC must feel like Underwood is the closest thing they will get to him. He is a “Sean 2.0” with character, morals, and no shady past.
Fans started freaking out as soon as the news broke. One wrote that the “choice sucks,” while another said, “there are SO MANY better choices.” One fan even wrote that they would boycott the show if Underwood is the next Bachelor.

To clear up the Booth situation, Reality Steve says that she and Underwood will send themselves home before the Bachelor in Paradise finale, which explains why GMA is making the announcement Tuesday morning before the finale airs.
However, until the network makes the announcement, Underwood isn’t a sure thing. Reality Steve has been wrong before, and there are many others that fans would like to see instead. Peter Kraus, Ben Higgins, and Joe Amabile would all be popular choices, so if Colton Underwood is still dating Booth, there is a chance the next Bachelor will actually be a surprise instead of another thing Reality Steve has spoiled.
