Code Black star Benjamin Hollingsworth and his spouse Nila Myers have welcomed a second addition to the family – a boy they named Gatsby Willem. The baby was born yesterday, March 16, and the parents couldn’t be happier to meet him.
Their one-year-old, Hemingway is apparently also super excited to be a big brother.
‘Hemingway’s been preparing for the big day for quite some time. We bought him a small toy doll to take care of, and he has been showing every sign that he is going to be the best big brother,’ the proud father revealed in an interview.
In addition, the man also took to social media to share a few pics of the newborn, one of them being of Hemingway peering over the crib at his baby brother. How cute!
As for his name, Hollingsworth explained that it was actually not inspired by the Great Gatsby novel.
‘It was a wonderful series of coincidences that, all combined, led us to the name Gatsby. Last summer we went on a trip to Paris. After a long flight with our one-year-old, Nila and the boy decided to stay in that night so they could settle into our hotel room. I went out into the warm rainy night, wandering the cobblestone streets just to explore. Led by my curiosity and appetite for chocolate croissants, I stumbled upon a restaurant with the name ‘Gatsby’ printed across its blue yawning.’
‘It was all lit up, and I found myself drawn to it. There was something mystical about it, so I took a picture. A few days later my wife was out on a walk of her own and came across the same yawning and took the exact same photo.’
What an amazingly magical story! It sounds like it was meant to be!
