The actress was in attendance at D23’s Saturday Morning on the Lot event, and while there, she announced that she’d be joining the cast of the highly-anticipated Kim Possible live-action movie. Christy Carlson Romano, who voiced the titular character from 2002 to 2007, is the newest addition to the cast list and fans are excited to have her on board!
However, the star did not reveal what character she is set to play in the upcoming movie.
In addition, Patton Oswalt is set to reprise his role as villain Professor Dementor.
‘Yep! Cannot wait for you guys to see this!’ Oswalt tweeted, and Romano agreed as she retweeted him, writing, ‘Yay! Can’t wait!”
The main character is brought to life by Sadie Stanley while Alyson Hannigan will play Dr. Ann Possible, her mother.
The Big C star Connie Ray is Kim’s grandma, Nana Possible.
Finally, villains Drakken and Shego are portrayed by Todd Stashwick and Taylor Ortega respectively.
Yesterday, the very first teaser for the film was released.
Romano talked to ET back in February, stating that it was an honor to voice such a ‘strong, positive character,’ and adding that she was ‘excited to see her empowering message influence a new generation.’
‘That said, as an artist, there’s always a part of you that wants to stay connected to the character you helped originate. I’m hopeful they’ll do right by Kim and my legacy,’ Romano went on to explain.
When asked if she’d star in the live action, the woman admitted that she would ‘if the circumstances were right.’
It looks like they were because she’s in! What character do you think Romano is portraying?
