Chris Pratt Addresses Ellen Page’s Accusations Of Supporting An Anti LGBTQ Church
Ellen Page previously slammed Chris Pratt for being part of an ‘anti-LGBTQ’ church and now, the fellow actor is responding to her claims. Here’s what he had to say!
This all started last week when Ellen Page reacted to a tweet from Hollywood Reporter about Chris stopping by on The Late Show and opening up about his spiritual side.
‘Oh. K. Um. But this church’s infamously anti-lgbtq so maybe address that too?’ Page called Pratt out.
And that was not all! Seeing people’s reactions to her post, Page also posted: ‘If you’re a famous actor and belong to an organization that hates a group of people, do not be surprised if somebody simply wonders why it is not addressed. Being anti-LGBTQ is wrong, there are not two sides. The damage it causes is severe.’
It did not take too long for Pratt to defend his church.
He took to social media earlier today to write that: ‘It has been suggested I belong to a church which ‘hates a certain group of people’ and which is ‘infamously anti –LGBTQ.’ Nothing could be further from the truth. I go to a church that opens its doors to absolutely everyone.’

The actor then went on to explain that the religious community he is part of actually helped him a lot through his divorce process despite the fact that the Bible is against the mere idea of a married couple separating.
Pratt also argued that while faith is important to him, no church actually defines him so he cannot speak for it.
What actually does define him, according to the star, are his own personal values which include the freedom for anyone to love anyone, free from any judgment from ‘their fellow man.’
Pratt also called for more love and less hate in the world!
