In a piece published by the New York Times on Thursday, Reggie Ugwu revealed the couple has broken up for the second time. Their relationship is known by fans for being on-and-off, much to their fans’ chagrin, as they’ve become one of Hollywood’s favorite couples.
When Slate appeared on the Late Late Show this week, she didn’t mention a breakup, and Evans hasn’t said anything either. Neither party has talked about their personal lives much lately, but both entertainers have been adamantly political on social media, especially when it comes to sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood.
Slate has been a vocal supporter for the #MeToo movement, and Evans, who claimed he experienced a revelation following his reading of the book, The Mother Of All Questions, contended that it’s critical for him to listen rather than speak up at this time.
As you may know, the #MeToo movement took the world by storm, however, in recent reports people are beginning to ask if we’ve gone too far when it comes to kicking men out of their positions for unproved transgressions, some of which are tame and not deserving of a life-ruining status.
Either way, Evans, and Slate are both on the side of the movement, but unfortunately, they don’t appear to be together anymore. Some fans think it’s because of their busy careers.
Evans just started a Broadway show called Lobby Hero, and it ends on the 13th of May. Chris and Slate began dating after they met on the set of Gifted but broke up soon after.
In the past, Slate gushed over Evans because he’s “so unpretentious” and down to earth. She described him as one of the kindest people on the planet.
On the other hand, Evans had nothing but praise for Jenny. In an interview with USA Today, the actor said there isn’t a person on earth who could spend time with Jenny and have something terrible to say about her afterward; it’s just not possible.
