We have learned that Chris Brown decided to add Batman on his mural for the simple fact that he relates to his struggle with the darkness inside. Apparently, it represents all of his mistakes in the past but most likely one in particular – the aggression towards his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna.
That being said, the same unique mural also features the search warrant used in the infamous case.
One insider close to the troubled singer revealed that ‘Chris painted the mural himself—he actually did the Batman part last year and then added the warrant piece recently. He loves Batman—he is his favorite superhero, and he feels like he can relate to the character—with his battle to overcome his dark side, following a traumatic childhood, and then emerging as a fighter for good. Chris’ own childhood was extremely traumatic and violent, he has spent his lifetime battling inner demons, and he feels he has finally conquered his dark side.’
The singer has been as open as possible about his struggle with that side of him ever since the highly publicized attack.
‘The Rihanna assault was without a doubt the darkest period of Chris’ life, and it is something he bitterly regrets. He knows he is viewed by many in the public as a terrible violent person, and an all-around bad guy, but Chris believes he’s so much more than that, and that deep down he is a good guy. This is his way of showing it, of displaying to the world that he has this other side, and that he’s, at heart, a good person,’ the same insider stated.
His good side also made an obvious appearance over the holidays when he donated $50k to a Georgia school.
In addition, he also surprised the students with a memorable performance.
We’re glad the man is fighting to leave behind that dark episode of his life even though it looks like he himself cannot really forget it.
