It turns out that even though Cheryl Burke and her fiance, Matthew Lawrence share almost everything with each other, when it comes to dancing, she is totally fine with him not sharing the same passion. During an interview with ET yesterday, the DWTS celeb revealed that she has no intention of teaching her man how to dance before their wedding.
‘We may never get married if I teach him how to dance! He might run away!’ she joked.
Burke went on to explain that ‘I just turn into a different person when I’m teaching, so I’m a lot harder. I am not mean, I am just like… that is how I was coached, and it was just the reality of it all. Everything, it’s just like, ‘This is how it is, and if you want to get better, you know, this is what you need to do.’ So it was tough love.’
The dance pro also opened up about the wedding planning, saying that while they’ve come a long way in the last six months since Lawrence proposed, her busy career has gotten in the way.
‘For the most part, [I’ve picked my bridal party]. It’s just about like, I do not want to do it over text message, because that is my schedule right now.’
As for her bridesmaids, she revealed that she really wanted to wait and ask them in person but there was someone she just couldn’t wait for.
‘Kym Herjavec, she is going to be one of my bridesmaids. [I asked her] through text message, but I was like, ‘I gotta do it. I was like, ‘Sorry, but there is no time.’ I have no time to even get the chance to see her. So she was like, ‘Just tell me.’ I’m like, ‘OK fine.’ So I said, ‘Will you be my bridesmaid? And I said, ‘I will give you the official gift when I see you.’’ Burke shared.
Of course, she accepted to be part of Burke’s big day gladly!
