The well awaited Charmed reboot is almost here, and it looks like the some of the original cast is not too happy about it. Holly Marie Combs took to social media to express her disbelief regarding some details about the upcoming show.
The actress starred in the original Charmed alongside Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan.
Combs retweeted an article about the reboot’s LGBT twist yesterday and shared her opinion on it.
‘I have no words…… I mean, I have a lot of words but at this juncture.. sure… yea … We Wish Them Well ……..,’ the caption read.
We know that the reboot is set to be pretty similar to the original version with the exception that the three witches discover what they are while in college.
Another big difference is that out of the three sisters, Madison, Mel, and Macy, Mel will be gay.
Aside from the fact that Holly doesn’t seem to be too fond of the fact that the character is a lesbian, she also slammed the name choices, comparing them to the Stillman sisters Mitzy, Mabel, and Margo in the original series that also included Jenny McCarthy.
‘3 sister witches hmm all names start with M’s hmmm noooo …… …. WAIT A MINUTE ….. @JennyMcCarthy SUE THEM,’ she tweeted a second time.
‘It is official. They really have never watched it,’ the actress slammed.
As fans may remember, this is not the first time Combs criticizes the reboot.
Last month when it was announced officially, she tweeted: ‘Here is the thing. Until u ask us to rewrite it every week like Brad Kern did do not think of capitalizing on our work. Charmed belongs to us four, our writers, crews and the fans primarily. FYI you won’t fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye.’
What is your opinion on her reaction to the reboot? Will you watch it anyway?
