The woman who accused Charlamagne The God of raping her when she was just 15 is opening up about the horrible experience. Jessica Reid is now 32 but she still remembers very vividly the disturbing details of the alleged sexual abuse that took place years before the man became the host of popular radio show The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne, who at the time was 22 has denied her claims many times before.
Reid is saying that he developed a crush on her after they were introduced by a mutual pal.
She made it clear however that she was not interested in a relationship and they became friends.
But apparently, he ruined everything when, during a house party, he allegedly assaulted her after she drank something that left her feeling ‘dizzy.’
Jessica told her side of the story during a new and exclusive interview for HollywoodLife.
‘When Charlamagne did the interview with DK Akademiks he said he was throwing a party for his cousin’s graduation (from college), but he told me it was his birthday party and that’s the only reason I went because I wasn’t going to go at first. He used to call me his little sister, and he convinced me to come because it was his birthday. So the story about his cousin’s bogus,’ Jessica explained.
She goes on to recall that ‘Once we arrived, we went inside and there was nothing but guys everywhere. Only two other females were there. I had an intuition that I should have left, but being only 15, I didn’t listen to my intuition.’
Because they were friends and she trusted him, Jessica accepted a non-alcoholic drink from Charlamagne who apparently then told her: ‘Nothing is going to happen to you. I got your back. I am going to take care of you tonight. You are going to be fine.’
But that was not the case as soon enough, both she and her brother’s fiancée Malika, 18, who she brought along to the party started puking.
‘I got some napkins to help clean Malika up and she was out of it. Within ten minutes I started feeling crazy. I was dizzy and I did not feel like myself.’
‘I stood up to go to the bathroom […] and when I got up I collapsed. It was the weirdest thing. I was just laying there and I could not move. I could see and hear everything but I couldn’t control my body. Charlamagne and his friends were laughing at me,’ Jessica remembers.
That is when the radio host supposedly told his male friends to ‘Take her a** upstairs.’
Two men then dragged her into the upstairs bathroom.
‘They didn’t penetrate me, but they did violate me. When they were done they left me there. I was laying on the floor crying…’
Then, a ‘dark-skinned tall guy took me into the bedroom and laid me on a bed’ before he ‘started to rub his penis’ on her body.
‘I do not know how long I was laying there, but then Charlamagne came into the room then closed the door. He started taking my clothes off. Meanwhile, I am still in a state where I cannot move, and I cannot do anything. I am just lying there, but I was crying.’
‘I know he saw me crying. He knew that I was crying and whimpering and he started talking to me. It was gross and weird.’
‘He started talking to me saying, ‘Didn’t I tell you that I was going to take care of you? You do not have to worry about nothing, I got you.’
Jessica went on to reveal that Charlamagne had sex with her before leaving her in the room.
‘I thought Charlamagne and I were friends, so I didn’t understand. He was somebody I felt I could trust. I wasn’t a groupie type. I wouldn’t just hang out at parties. I wasn’t on drugs. I wasn’t that type of person. In his interview (with DJ Akademiks) he tried to discredit me, but I wasn’t that type of person.’
17 years later, the woman says she is still very much affected by what happened in her teens, and the reason why she is opening up is apparently not money but because it’s a way for her to finally heal.
