Charlamagne tha God is at the center of a sexual assault scandal with new alarming tweets being unearthed almost every other day. But that isn’t stopping him from continuing his radio show and doing promo. While visiting Andy Cohen’s clubhouse, the radio host got candid on his broken relationship with Wendy Williams.
If you weren’t already in the know, Charlamagne used to work for the successful talk show hostess when she was the voice of ‘The Wendy Williams Experience.’
While on “Watch What Happens Live,” a caller questioned if C Tha God reached out to his former boss after she had the shocking health scare during the Halloween show last year.
He responded that he hasn’t spoken to her in over eight years. When Andy Cohen asked why his relationship with Wendy’s was botched, he explained that it was because of her husband, Kevin Hunter. Cohen even seemed to agree that Hunter is the problem why his friendship with Wendy went sour.
In Charlagmagne’s book titled ‘Black Privilege,’ he details the events that happened after he was fired from Williams’old show. Apparently, Kevin was his manager who used intimidating tactics in order to broker deals — something that Charlamagne was not okay with.
“He was always extremely aggressive in trying to get more money out of situations. He’d yell at and often threaten people till he got what he wanted. I can’t lie: It’s worked for him and Wendy. But it wasn’t how I wanted to do business,” he recalled.
That’s when Hunter said that C Tha God did something foul. After that Charlamagne severed all ties with Wendy and her husband.
The memoir also stated: “As for Wendy, she is the ultimate ride-or-die chick. I know she feels she has to have her husband’s back and I have to respect that. One thing I learned not to do from watching her was to treat the people who work for you poorly. Wendy and Kev could be very cruel to the people who worked under them.”
Do you think Kevin Hunter could be as cruel as described?
