Following her arrest at a Connecticut airport in August, Gretchen Wilson, the country star, agreed to pay approximately $500 to a charity to settle a criminal charge. The “Redneck Woman” singer faced a judge on Thursday in Enfield.
In exchange for the charity donation for injured crime victims, the authorities are dropping the misdemeanor breach of peace charge.
As it was previously reported, on the 21st of August, the police arrested the country vixen at the Bradley International Airport near Hartford when she was on her way to a concert at the Mohegan Sun casino.
Reportedly, Gretchen became aggressive with the police, in relation to an incident involving her and another passenger over the bathroom. According to Wilson, everyone has a bad day, but when celebrities have one, they’re typically much worse as a result of the media outrage.
As for what happened, Gretchen got into an argument with another person over the only bathroom in their part of the airplane. She and the other individual got into a pushing contest, and when the plane landed, there were police waiting.
The authorities, when speaking with HollywoodLife, said that Gretchen was taken into the station for Breach Of Peace. And this won’t be the first time, reports TMZ, because Gretchen has gotten into trouble on an airplane before.
In October 2007, Wilson was en route to Los Angeles from Nashville, when she received an in-flight citation for saying “f*ck you” to one of the flight attendants onboard.
Reportedly, Wilson told off a flight attendant who was asking her to put her dog back in its traveling case. While most are quick to jump on Wilson for two similar incidents, one person on social media defended her, stating that it’s a possibility “Wilson is especially nervous on airplanes.”
