Catt Sadler thanked several women for supporting her decision to leave the E! News network. Celebrity Insider reported yesterday that Catt Sadler, who worked for E! for over ten years, exited the organization after she found out there was a massive financial difference between her salary and Jason Kennedy’s.
Olivia Munn, the actress to accuse Brett Ratner of sexual harassment in recent months, said to Catt it was so “disappointing” to hear E! News won’t make up for the disparity in pay.
After all, E! News depends on many female viewers to make its money. Munn commended Sadler for having the courage to leave her position at the famous network.
The 43-year-old former host said women’s actions need to be aligned with their beliefs. The courageous stories of other women in recent months inspired her to leave after not getting what she wants and feels she deserves.
Catt said the “right thing” was the only choice possible. On Tuesday, Chastain said it was “so disappointing” to hear Catt made half as much money as Jason Kennedy, who was her co-host.
Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence – who frequently criticizes the alleged wage gap, the claim that women are paid less than men because of institutional sexism – supported Catt for her bravery.
The Oscar winner offered her words of gratitude for Catt in a Facebook post. And while some may think there is bad blood between Catt and Jason, fortunately, that isn’t the case.
The 36-year-old, Jason, posted a video of Catt during the final episode on which she appeared on Tuesday. The host wrote that he is “sending Catt Sadler” off with love and memories.
