As the world knows, Carrie Underwood suffered a pretty serious fall outside of her home last year, resulting in the need for many stitches in her face. Some reported that the number was around 40-50.
When she broke the news in January, Carrie said that it was hard to tell just how bad her face would be. For that reason, she chose to keep it private, rather than exposing her accident to the world.
The country music star, who recently was on the cover of Redbook’s September issue, avoided the judgmental eye of the media and the public as she got better. It was necessary for her to avoid the spotlight, because she wasn’t sure how her face would turn out.
Because of the mysterious aspect of the situation, some people believed that she had gotten plastic surgery to fix her face. However, after a few pictures surfaced on her Instagrams, fans were relieved to see that she looked the same, maybe even better.
Regardless, some people believed she had gotten plastic surgery, which, according to Underwood, is completely untrue. The country music star joked, “I wish I’d gotten some awesome plastic surgery to make this scar look better.”
Even Carrie’s mother was concerned at the time, who asked her once if she knew what the media had been saying about her. Thankfully, Carrie chose to care for her kids instead, rather than what publications had to say.
These days, Carrie is more focused on her career, her touring schedule, as well as her kids, so plastic surgery rumors are far removed from her mind.
Regarding her family, Carrie and her husband, Mike Fisher, love having kids together. When probed on whether she would want more or not, Carrie said, “so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” on the account of the fact that Underwood is now 35-years-old.
