Carrie Underwood has had a rough past few months. Not only did she recently receive a ton of stitches in her face following a fall outside of her home, but she announced on Twitter today that she got pulled over for speeding.
Carrie revealed today that police stopped her after 18 years of clean driving. Underwood, unfortunately, can no longer tell all of her friends that she hasn’t been pulled over for breaking the law while driving.
Underwood claimed she “feels so ashamed” and she “may or may not” have cried after the police officer left.
As you may know, just a few years ago, Underwood made fun of her husband, Mike Fisher, on social media after authorities stopped him while leaving the 2013 CMA Music Festival. Ironically, it came after Fisher poked fun at Nashville drivers.
Well, it happened today. After 18 years, I can no longer say I’ve never been pulled over for speeding. I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go. #RuleFollower #GrannyDriver #ImSorry

As it was mentioned at the beginning of the article, Carrie recently had to get “40-50” stitches in her face. In a note obtained by the organization, People, Carrie said: “it’s crazy how a random freak accident” can change a person’s life.
She went on to reveal that not only did she break her wrist, but she managed to injure her face badly as well. However, she didn’t go into details as to how it happened. On the 19th of January, Carrie gave another update and said her doctor “fixed her up.”
The country music star shared an image of her X-Ray which showed a flat metal plate and screws in place to hold her wrist together while it healed.
Sources close to the star explained, “Carrie was just glad that she didn’t suffer anything super major. It’s not every day that someone falls like that, receives a ton of stitches in their face, and then winds up still looking as beautiful as before.”
