All respect lost, that is what many former fans of Carrie Underwood are saying after she showed her new face for the first time in public.
Underwood took the stage at the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas just hours ago. The country diva looked sensational in a mini gold and shimmering black dress.
The mother of one captivated the audience with gold glitter tears on her face as she belted her new single, “Cry Pretty.”
The American Idol winner also picked up an award for Vocal Event of the Year for “The Fighter” with Keith Urban.
It was the first time Underwood appeared on stage since revealing to the world that she suffered a horrific fall at her home that required about 50 stitches.
The 35-year-old singer said her face and wrist were injured and scarred after falling.
Fans are confused because Underwood looked flawless at the awards show and many are saying that Wendy Williams was right, she lied about the fall to hide an alleged plastic surgery.
One person said: “I think she faked how bad her injury was so she would get more exposure when she performed at the ACM’S. You couldn’t even tell where her face had been stitched. I’ve lost respect for her. To me, she’s been more concerned with looks than music the last few months.Vain. Plastic surgery. Publicity for the new album.”
A second follower responded by: “You looked stunning and you sang beautifully! Congratulations on a big night – so proud of you! Amazing job with the new hit. Hot damn girl! You were on at the ACM awards! Amazing!! Your voice, your beauty, your everything! Why so much hate?! They are putting Christians in prison for speaking out against Islam in the Middle East or killing them for their faith?! Why hate on Carrie?! I just think she made a lot of ruckus about something that could be easily fixed – chill out!”
A third commenter stated: “I don’t see any scars, ya sure you didn’t have plastic surgery???? I don’t get it!!!!!! Your voice and talent are unmatched.Girl, I adore you since before you were YOU, but please as a mom to mom and woman to woman, please just keep it real, why hide said face? , why wouldn’t you want to share with others who may be experiencing the same thing? Or give confidence to another woman in a similar situation? I’m just saying keep it real, give the low down. Don’t be shady girl; you have never been, just keep it real.”
