Rapper and new father Offset is sick to his stomach thinking about the fact that wife Cardi B could be thrown in jail for a brawl that took place in New York.
The “Bodak Yellow” diva recently turned herself in to New York Police Department after it was reported that she might have ordered an attack against two bartenders — Jade and Baddie G who slept with Offset.
According to legal experts, Cardi B faces up to 12 months in jail and Offset would be devasted if his wife was forced to leave their newborn daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.
A source told Hollywood Life: “Offset would be crushed it Cardi was taken away from him. He does not even want to think about something heartbreaking like Cardi being found guilty and losing her freedom or being taken away from him and their baby.”
The person added: “Offset is beginning to have real fears about Cardi’s anger management issues. He wishes she could find a better way to deal with her hot temper. The same thing that attracted Offset to Cardi, her wild personality, now makes him nervous because she is also the mother of his baby. He hopes she can learn a healthier way to deal with her passionate outbursts before she does something they will both regret.”
However, the Migos rapper has hope. The pal claimed: “Offset is trying not to worry about Cardi’s pending legal troubles. He feels confident in their team of attorneys and does not think Cardi will ever see the inside of a jail cell.”
Cardi is also losing sleep over her next court appearance.
The family friend stated: “Cardi is confident she’ll beat these charges and be proven innocent, but it’s still terrifying that jail could be on the table. The thought of that is terrifying for her, especially because it would mean she’d be separated from her baby girl which would be heartbreaking. Cardi can’t stand to spend even one night away from Kulture, so the idea of being behind bars, away from Kulture is enough to make her cry, it’s devastating.”
Cardi will appear in court on October 29. She is also facing a major lawsuit for her temper.
