Cardi B could not be prouder of the fact that hip-hop is always in the charts. She is thrilled to see that the genre of music that she loves most is ‘controlling the music industry.’
Cardi stated that in the U.S. she is always looking at the charts and she sees that hip-hop is always there.
She noted that this music genre controls the music industry and they also control the fashion world.
Cardi also said that she doesn’t care if the fashion comes from a runway of from a Caucasian model, but ‘once a colored person wears something, that’s when everybody wants to wear it.’
Cardi claimed that ‘We always influence. When you see the Olympics, who always wins? Coloured folks. We win everything. We are a big influence, and people want to take that shit away. People like Donald Trump, they’re always going to make us feel like we’re less. But it’s ok because a bitch like me knows the truth. It doesn’t matter if the government and the Republicans try to make us feel like we’re not because we are. I know the truth. We run the s**t! We influence. We run everything.’
Cardi B also opened up, and she said that she was bullied a long time ago.
She confessed that she was always getting picked on for the way that she was dressing and all kinds of things that happened to her in the sixth grade have changed her.
Cardi stated that people influence you, and they tell you what to join or not to join, but everything is an excellent experience in the end.
‘I wouldn’t be able to rap about the things that I rap about now [if I hadn’t grown up there],’ Cardi concluded.
