HollywoodLife has exclusively obtained pictures of the seats reserved for stars at the MTV Video Music Awards, and it looks like rival rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are seated pretty close to one another during the show. Interestingly enough, Cardi is ‘perched’ right ‘across the aisle’ from Nicki.
Will the two female emcees who had some beef in the past have an awkward run-in or are they over the feud?
Fans were probably already aware that both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B would be at the highly anticipated event.
That being said, the Bodak Yellow star is nominated 12 times in addition to being the opening act!
Meanwhile, Minaj is nominated in the Best Hip-Hop video category and is also set to perform.
But until now, nobody was aware of how close the stars would be seated in the audience.
As for the chances that drama would ensue because of the seating arrangement, it looks like they are slim to none as their feud is not really going on anymore.
It was Nicki who said during an interview with Beats 1 host Ebro Darden yesterday that she and Cardi are cool.
In fact, she suggested there was never drama between them, to begin with.
‘Now, I did not know Cardi, and I had an issue, but I guess we do since you are saying it and other people are also saying it. To me, she may have taken an issue with things that I have said, but I am not going to bite my tongue […] You gotta have thick skin. People talk shit about me all the time […] You can’t be expect to be liked and loved and praised all the fu***n’ time. Give me a break,’ Complex reports that she said.
And Cardi said the same thing while previously talking to the same interviewer back in April.
‘I just feel like it’s really internet made-up. I really feel like fans, and people really want to see that happen because it’s really entertaining. To see people beef is entertaining.’
