Camila Cabello is starting to open up about the behind the scenes of her former girl group and that comes with a little bit of shade as well! Here’s what the Havana singer said about Fifth Harmony in a new interview.
Basically, she pretty much suggested that things were not the greatest when she was still in the group.
In the end, it really did motivate her to be around such competitive people but it was definitely a little intense.
‘Man, it shaped me entirely. I’d not be the person that I’m right now; I wouldn’t have been ready for this. I feel like being part of a girl group teaches you so many things about yourself, ironically enough. And it also brings out this sort of healthy competition, you know what I mean? You never want to be the one that sucks,’ Camila explained.
In other words, being in Fifth Harmony may have been a bit stressful because of all the competitiveness, but in the end it helped her become a better performer.
It sounds like the shading of her former band mates was barely there and in the end, her words were pretty kind.
That is impressive considering the other girls blindsided her at the VMAs 2017 when they got a fake Camila on stage and then threw her off before the performance began to symbolize her leaving the group.
Now, that is some serious shade! Also, pretty unnecessary.
It’s nice to see Camila took the high road here.
What do you think about Camila’s comments on her time in Fifth Harmony?
Should she have slammed the former members as revenge or was her response just perfect?
