Caitlyn Jenner won’t be making her way onto the set of Dancing With The Stars anytime soon. The 68-year-old former Olympian said she doesn’t have plans to join the 26th season of the show, contrary to the media reports stating otherwise.
A representative speaking on behalf of Caitlyn said, “the current reports are simply not true. Caitlyn doesn’t have any intention of doing something like that and doesn’t need to either. Usually, that’s the sort of thing for actors and actresses who no longer are in the spotlight. Caitlyn is still on top of her game.”
Although many of her fans have thought she would make it on to the popular franchise, it looks like it’s not happening after all.
In the past, executives on the show expressed interest in having Caitlyn on. Cheryl Burke, a professional dancer working with the producers, said it would be great to have Caitlyn on DWTS.
Cheryl said practically the entire family has competed including Rob Kardashian and Kim Kardashian. The star of Dance Moms noted Jenner could partner up with Val Chmerkovskiy.
If Caitlyn came on to Dancing With The Stars, she would just be one of many former Olympians to join including people like Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Shawn Johnson, Charlie White, Evan Lysacek, Lolo Jones, Nastia Liukin and others.
And while the thought of having her compete is thrilling, Jenner may be busy with other projects. The Secrets Of My Life author revealed that she might run for public office while speaking with reporters from Us Weekly in July of 2017.
Jenner said, “you never know baby, wouldn’t be surprised.” Jenner isn’t the only one to consider running for the chief-in-command’s office lately. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kevin Hart joked while promoting Jumanji that they, too, would run for the coveted position.
