The police are currently looking into the attempted robbery of Wiz Khalifa’s home in Southern California. In a report from TMZ, the publication claims two men wearing hooded sweatshirts invaded the rapper’s house around 4:45 am when he wasn’t home.
Currently, the rapper is on the road for his Dazed and Blazed tour. However, due to Wiz having someone in his home when he was gone away, the burglars got scared off once they found out the rapper had someone house-sitting while he was gone.
Once they realized there was a person in the house, they both left. The men didn’t have time to steal anything, thankfully. But they did manage to break one window from which they entered.
Around the same time, Christina Milian’s house was also broken into. The police said to reporters from TMZ that they forced their way into the house around 1 pm on Friday.
Milian, unfortunately, didn’t have a house sitter and the suspects made off with some of her property. They stole around $100,000 worth of jewelry. The alarm system went off, but the suspects were able to flee the scene fast enough to dodge the LAPD who arrived at the scene shortly thereafter.
As you may know, this won’t be the first time that a celebrity has had their home invaded. Last year, Nicki Minaj, Cesar Milan, and Alanis Morissette all had their homes robbed.
And perhaps most famously, Kim Kardashian was robbed by men in Paris, France, in 2016, who dressed themselves up as policemen. Since then, reports surfaced that nearly everyone involved was caught and subsequently arrested and convicted.
Kim managed to learn a crucial lesson from that incident: one shouldn’t advertise their whereabouts and their bling at all times on the ‘Gram; it’s a good way of attracting unnecessary to oneself.
