Although a financially prosperous life may be comfortable it is not necessarily also happy. That’s what happened with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as well, who, ironically enough, are paying the same judge who married them a ton of money – $450 per hour – to deal with their divorce procession.
It is poetical really, how Brangelina has come full circle. The judge that once united their destinies are going to split them legally as well.
“Both their lawyers approved retired Judge John W. Ouderkirk to oversee this divorce,” stated a source.
“It’s ironic because he officiated their wedding. He will be hired as a private judge and could cost up to $450 an hour, but it’s a huge sign that they trust this man.”
Perhaps they though well – someone who knows their situation already is better than a stranger.
Brad Pitt has hired a private judge before, when he divorced Jennifer Aniston in 2005.
Their judge, Jill Robbins, pushed “things through more quickly and keep it all under wraps,” divorce lawyer and legal expert Kelly Chang Rickert claimed.
Furthermore, as we’ve previously reported, the actor does not want the scandal to be exposed to the public and this is why a private judge might be the best idea. In fact, if we think about it, when he split from Aniston there was barely any drama surrounding the divorce and we think it was precisely because they hired a private judge to oversee it.
However, there is one important difference between the two divorces and that is the six children he has with Angelina.
The fact that Pitt didn’t have any kids with Jennifer made their divorce a lot smoother.
“Retired Judge Ouderkirk is known to be strict but fair,” shared the source. “He has a wealth of experience in dealing with difficult divorce cases over his career.”
