It seems like there is really no hope of reconciliation between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and they’re not getting back together. After almost a year since the actress filed for divorce, Brad is reportedly anxious to finalize the proceedings and to retake control of his own life.
In Touch Weekly says that he is planning to seek bifurcation as a means to speed up the process.
The two of them have been dealing with all the proceedings of the divorce for almost a year, and a bifurcation would allow divorcing before setting the terms of the custody agreement and property division.
‘There has been little progress in getting close to a settlement,’ a source told In Touch Weekly. ‘Brad has had enough. He’s ready to officially take back control of his life.’
Even if Brad is committed to co-parenting, he will not take Angelina back.
The insider also said that the actor is ‘planning on asking his lawyer to speed up the divorce.’
‘His life has been at a standstill while he’s spent a year appeasing Angelina. He wants to move on to the next phase of his life without having his hands tied by her–, and he wants it soon,’ the insider added.
‘Restoring his status to a single person isn’t about Brad going out on the town and dating, but about his beginning a new chapter.’
While Brad is seemingly more than ready to live a single life, Angelina recently shared that she doesn’t enjoy being single.
‘Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together,’ she explained.
‘But really I am just trying to get through my days. I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.’
Before this, Brad and Angelina were said to be putting the divorce on hold, and even that Angie would totally drop it.
‘It’s true that the divorce is not moving forward right now. They are taking a breather and seeing what happens,’ an insider has recently revealed.
‘They don’t take divorce lightly and want to make sure they are doing the right thing. A lot has changed since Angelina filed. Things can change quickly, but they aren’t pursuing the divorce at this time.’
