Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s custody battle is heating up. Despite reports that Pitt and Jolie have agreed to a custody arrangement outside of court, inside sources claim that the fight for their six children is just getting started.
Earlier reports indicated that Pitt and Jolie had finally agreed to share the custody of their kids: Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne and Knox. The two have been locked in a bitter custody war ever since Jolie filed for divorce in the fall of 2016, and Pitt won a big victory this summer when a judge granted him more time with his kids.
Although it appeared as though Pitt and Jolie were headed for a settlement, sources say that is not the case.

According to Page Six, Pitt and Jolie were scheduled to appear in court to settle their custody disagreement but their visit was cancelled. Initial reports say they cancelled the hearing because they were on the verge of ending the divorce and settling up, but inside sources claim it was just pushed back a couple of weeks. The two are apparently still scheduled to meet in court, where they will continue to hash things out.
“Nothing has changed since the judge made an interim custody agreement a few months ago in which he said Angelina must let Brad see the children,” one insider explained.
The custody battle heated up a few weeks ago after Jolie accused Pitt of not paying her adequate child support. In response, Pitt fired back and claimed that he had given Jolie over $8 million to buy a house and $1.3 million to take care of the kids.

Jolie then said that the house money had nothing to do with child support and should not be counted towards it. Jolie’s lawyers then slammed Pitt for trying to inflate the numbers so he would look better in the media.
Jolie and Pitt have not commented on the rumors surrounding their bitter custody war. This past June, a judge ordered Angelina Jolie to allow Pitt more access to their kids. This includes giving the children Pitt’s cell phone number and allowing him more frequent visits.
The ruling was a major win for Brad Pitt, who is seeking joint custody of all six children. It is not clear if the two are any closer to an agreement, but we can hope that things work themselves out in the near future.
