It has been a year-and-a-half since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. And, after moving forward “privately and amicably,” Pitt thought the end was finally near, and he and Jolie were close to signing off on a divorce and custody agreement. But then the Maleficent star suddenly reversed course and demanded more time to hash things out – and then decided to leave the country. So, that means the couple is back at war over their six children, and it looks like things won’t be resolved until at least the end of the year. Will the former couple ever come to an agreement?
According to Life & Style, Jolie changed her mind because she didn’t think things were working out in her favor.
“She thought Brad was pushing too hard to resolve the situation to his benefit and felt she was losing control,” reveals an insider.
Until a final custody plan is in place, Jolie has control over the Jolie-Pitt kids – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne – and she has decided to take them to England for the spring and summer. That move has turned things between her and Pitt from amicable to hostile.

A source also says that things have disintegrated so badly between the couple that when he objected to her moving the kids 5,000 miles away, she simply responded, “too bad.”
Jolie will be teaching classes at the London School of Economics and filming Maleficent 2 from April to August, and she is adamant that her children are with her during that time and refuses to negotiate. Pitt would like for the kids to spend at least two weeks with him this summer, but Jolie has the right to say no and make him go to London if he wants to see his children.
Pitt wants joint custody, and he is tired of playing games. But, if he has to fly overseas to see his kids, then he will do it because he adores his children and feels lost without them.
The 54-year-old has done his best to remain amicable with his ex, but he is rapidly losing patience. And Jolie moving his kids to another continent for half the year has made him furious.
However, he is doing his best to move on and really wants fans to think he has won the breakup. The separation was a dark time for Pitt, but he recently emerged for a party on Oscar weekend, and he is looking healthier, happier, and seems excited about life.

He has signed on to the new Quentin Tarantino upcoming and controversial film, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, about the 1969 Manson family murders, and he has been spending his time flirting with women in coffee shops and elevators, building furniture, and crying on stage with Frank Ocean.
It seems that Pitt is now in a better place and he is thriving after suffering through the very public end of a 12-year relationship. And, if he can get joint custody of his kids, things will be even better.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not commented on their never-ending custody battle.
