Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still in the middle of a heated divorce and custody battle nearly two years of separating, and they can’t seem to agree on much of anything. But, there is one thing that the former couple sees eye-to-eye on — Chateau Miraval — their 35-room estate in the South of France.
As The Daily Mail reports, most thought that the home would be the first thing to go when the couple filed for divorce in September 2016, but both Jolie and Pitt want to keep the estate, so their six children can someday take it over.
Chateau Miraval has perfectly manicured lawns and vineyards, and it used to be a getaway spot for the family during happier times. It was also where Jolie and Pitt exchanged vows in 2014.

Miraval’s vintner, Charles Perrin, says that neither Jolie or Pitt has any plans to sell the property, which in 2012 produced the best rosé in the world, and in five hours, sold out of the 6,000 bottles it released. Pitt and Jolie bought the 1,100-acre estate in 2011 for $60 million and spent between $10 and $12 million on renovations.
‘It is an investment for their family and their children. We have long-term projects and have just released the latest vintage of rosé with our names: “bottled by Pitt, Jolie, and Perrin” on it,’ Perrin said.
The former couple is also continuing to build the thriving business for their children, and they have started to produce olive oil on the estate’s grounds in addition to the wine.
This past week their divorce heated up even more when Jolie’s attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, filed a motion asking for Pitt to pay retroactive child support with claims that hadn’t paid “meaningful child support” since they separated.

However, Pitt immediately fired back, saying that Jolie’s claims were an effort “to manipulate media coverage” and his lawyer said that Pitt has paid over $1.3 million in bills and loaned Jolie $8 million to purchase a home.
They also said that Jolie’s claims of withholding child support were “calculated to increase the conflict.”
In addition to asking for retroactive child support, Angelina Jolie also demanded that the court bifurcate the issue of marital status, which means they would finalize the divorce and reclaim their single status before they settle the financial and custody issues.
Brad Pitt has remained mum on his ongoing dramatic split from Jolie.
