The tension continues to heat up between President Trump’s supporters and those who want to see him impeached. Now there’s a growing movement to boycott Wal-mart after it was learned the popular retailer is selling “Impeach 45” merchandise. Ryan Fournier, who is the chairman of Trump Students, found the items and tweeted to Wal-mart asking them why they are selling the products. His tweet has gone viral and is drawing nationwide attention.
The division between those who are pro-Trump and anti-Trump has grown wider over the past several years and it appears nothing will bridge the gap. The legalities of selling clothing and other merchandise that read “Impeach 45” have caused plenty of debate between Trump supporters and those who are anti-Trump. Some feel that there should be respect for the president, while others cite free speech and say they have the right to produce, manufacture, and sell anti-Trump clothing.
The Internet and various social media networks exploded with news of the “Impeach 45” merchandise and the boycott has trended throughout the day as well as te hashtag #boycottWalmart.

It’s important to note that many people view Wal-Mart as a large corporation that destroys small mom and pop businesses. For this reason, there are many people who refuse to shop at Wal-Mart.
Though it’s impossible to know the political beliefs of Wal-mart shoppers, the boycott is enough to signify that Wal-Mart has isolated a large portion of their shopping audience.
Additionally, Wal-Mart didn’t create the “Impeach 45” merchandise, but rather they were selling products from Old Glory.
The boycott has already created an impact and by late Tuesday afternoon, the “Impeach 45” products were removed from the site and stores.
Many of President Trump’s supporters accused Wal-Mart politicizing their products and taking a political side.
It should be duly noted that Wal-Mart does sell Make America Great again products, but only through their app and they are by third-party retailers.
What do you think about the Wal-Mart boycott? Do you agree that the store shouldn’t sell Impeach 45 products or do you feel there is nothing wrong with it? As of now, the boycott continues and is growing in support.
