Former boxing champion Vinny Paz got arrested for domestic violence. This happened in Rhode Island early morning this Thursday, March 14. The cops said that he beat up his girlfriend and then tried to hide inside of their home.
The Warwick Police Dept. stated that the cops had to use force in order to break down Paz’s garage and enter the home to take the man at around 3 in the morning.
The police had initially gotten a call from a member of Paz’s family who claimed during the conversation that Paz got violent all of a sudden. The woman reportedly was injured in the face area.
When the cops managed to enter the house, the woman was taken from the scene, and Paz did not want to open the door or answer his phone. He also turned off all the lights in the house.
That was the moment when the police decided that it was time for them to make a move ‘out of an abundance of caution.’
The managed to get inside of the house and get Paz. Around 4 AM, he was eventually taken into custody and hauled to a nearby station where he is being kept on domestic violence charges.
Things are pretty bad for Paz because he was out on bail in a felony assault case in which he allegedly got violent to his friend. Now, this arrest could trigger lead official to revoke his bail.
