As Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani continue to work on having a baby of their own, the country music star is focusing on the three boys who could become his stepsons.
Shelton is spending a lot of time with Stefani’s boys — Kingson, Zuma, and Apollo.
He has been teaching them to fish, hunt, and camp out in beautiful Oklahoma.
The Voice‘s coach has also been teaching them to play several musical instruments, and the kind gesture moves his girlfriend.
The No Doubt diva was apparently brought to tears as she watched her children sit down with the man she loves to play the guitar.
A close family friend had the following to say: “Blake has taken to all of Gwen’s kids and loves to share his passions with them. Besides Gwen, nothing is as dear to Blake as his country music, so to share his country style of guitar meant a lot to him. It seemed to mean even more to Gwen, though — she was brought to tears as she saw her boys learning from her man.”
The chatty person went on to explain that the trio enjoys Shelton’s company and sees him as second father and friend.
The source shared: “They have so much fun with him. They have really fallen in love with Blake and have a strong bond with him. They are very much attached to Blake and hope he is around for a long time.”
Last night, Shelton himself confirmed that he is loving the role of almost stepfather.
He sat down with Entertainment Tonight and confessed: “We have so much fun.I do not think you should be able to have that much fun. It is probably not legal in California.”
He went on to say: “It has been a lot of fun for me to be the one to get to expose them to this — out in the country. They love it so much, her entire family. And when I say her family, I mean all of them. I am talking about the kids, the mom, the dad, the brother. There are times when we have had holiday gatherings, and I am talking about 30-plus family members from her side, from my side.”
The boys are well surrounded, and that is all that matters.
