By the looks of things, Blake Shelton is not the type who wants to work, live, and play with his lady. Blake is said to be just fine with not having Gwen Stefani on The Voice.
It is not because she nags or troubles him; the country singer finds there is a great dynamic and chemistry between himself and the other coaches — Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, and Adam Levine — which will translate into a rating boom for season 15.
A source told Hollywood Life: “With the success of the show with Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, and the upcoming coach John Legend coming into the fold, Blake feels that if the show is super successful with the newer coaches, then he is totally fine with not seeing Gwen come back.”
The insider added that Gwen is busy with her Las Vegas residency and other ventures.
The friend added: “Especially since she has so many other things in her career to accomplish. Plus a lot of her focus is on her Vegas show that goes deep into next year that she would like to continue,” our source continues.
The mother of three released a statement saying that she is happy to be in Vegas.
She stated: “To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honor. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency. I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I’ve never experienced, and I can’t wait,”
For fans wondering, this is the latest update on the Blake and Gwen wedding situation: “There is no big secret as to why Blake and Gwen are not yet engaged. It very simple — they’re just not in a rush to get that piece of paper. Neither of them needs it to feel committed to each other. They’re both undeniably ‘all in’ when it comes to their relationship. But, when it comes to getting the courts involved and dealing with all the paperwork they’d need to do as far as prenups, it gets overwhelming and frankly, not very romantic.”
Blake knows what he wants.
