Even celebrities want to start and keep traditions with their children during the Christmas season. In an attempt to be a domestic, jolly father and husband, Deadpool’s star and funny man actor Ryan Reynolds tried his hand at some seasonal baking.
According to his wife, Blake Lively, it was a very interesting attempt that didn’t necessarily turn out that well. Lively posted a picture of her husbands finished products which seem like a huge baking fail on her Instagram. These sugar cookie creations may not do much to put his family in the Christmas spirit but they’re funny to look at and likely provide some fun comic relief during this time of year.
It’s possible that maybe he got some help from their two young daughters, James, 3 and Ines, 1. But it seems that Lively is ready to give all the credit to her hubby via the caption she wrote to accompany the picture of the broken and haphazardly decorated cookies. In true Reynolds fashion, he commented on the post by saying he wanted to be the very first person to ever bake Christmas cookies using only a hammer. A real jokester.
Lively did make sure to notate that her husband is quite good looking though, despite his suffering skills in the kitchen. Lively and Reynolds have quite the reputation of using laughter and humor in their marriage by publically poking fun at the other via social media.
They’ve both done interviews where they crack jokes about the other but when they’re together, it’s quite clear that they have a very heartfelt and deep abiding love for one another.
The two met on the set of The Green Lantern, which turned out to bomb terribly at both the box office and with critics. So it seems that the couple has experience in not taking themselves too seriously. These qualities are few and far between in the illustrious realm of Hollywood. It’s nice to see a couple that can laugh and poke fun at the other, yet still have such obvious love and respect within their dynamic.
Lively and Reynolds are each other’s biggest fans and both manage to juggle their careers and parenthood very well.
