Blake Lively is known for teasing and joking with her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, very publically. The two regularly go back and forth trading barbs with one another regarding their careers, them as parents and their fun relationship. Recently Lively took to social media to tease Reynolds about her co-star Anna Kendrick.
Lively and Kendrick star in a new film, A Simple Favor, where they play best friends and Lively’s character disappears. This leaves Kendrick’s character desperate to figure out what has happened to her friend.
Lively called Kendrick “the hotter, female(r) version of my husband… ” and asked “…so, would it really count as cheating?”
Kendrick played along with the joke by saying that she was glad her and Lively could finally go public with this news about their relationship.
Lively added “I let Ryan have Deadpool, he can give me this.”
Obviously all in good fun, Reynolds commented that it would be one of the most ambitious crossover events in history with the two of them together. He added “I’ll miss you both. Tell my story.”
The mystery thriller isn’t due out in theatres until September, but the cast is having a great time promoting the film.
In fact, Lively recently did a bit of impromptu promoting on her Instagram by deleting all of her pictures, unfollowing everyone she knew and only following accounts of people named Emily.
Kendrick talked about choosing to do this movie and wondering if it was going to work and if it would be believable that these two are good friends.
Kendrick says that the second they started, she knew that it was a good fit.
The two of them meshed together so well. Kendrick calls Lively “so warm.” She said that they had great onscreen chemistry together and really got to the heart of the two characters and were able to cultivate a real bond.
