Ever since the public noticed Blac Chyna was advertising a skin cream by the company, Whitenicious, the reality star has only faced criticism for her choice of endorsements. And now, to make matters worse, rumor has it that she doesn’t even use it.
On the 19th of November, the 30-year-old ex-girlfriend of Rob Kardashian took criticism from fans for promoting the controversial skin cream created by the brand.
According to HollywoodLife, Blac Chyna doesn’t even use the product that costs approximately $250 a jar. Sources who spoke with TMZ stated it was all just a money-making scheme, and she has never used it.
The product, Whitenicious X Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating, and Lightening Cream has been accused by people online of perpetuating the narrative that light skin is preferred over dark skin. It’s a common problem in other countries such as India and Nigeria.
Previously, her representatives told the site it was a useful product for correcting dark spots on a body as a result of hyperpigmentation. However, social media users were not so forgiving, even after her reps’ brief explanation.
As fans of the star know, this isn’t the first time she has been accused of lightening her skin with expensive products. In one photo shared on Instagram, Blac Chyna appeared lighter to many of her fans, and rumors began.
In the comment section, one person wrote, “it’s such a tragedy that women out there want their skin to be lighter.” Moreover, following the announcement she was heading to Nigeria to promote the product, the criticism only exacerbated.
On Twitter, fans were merciless. The comment section on all posts affiliated with Whitenicious have since been either disabled or changed permanently.
Reportedly, Rob Kardashian isn’t happy about her choices either. He shares their baby, Dream, with her, and fears that her lifestyle choices will send the wrong message to their infant child.
This all comes after Rob stated he wasn’t interested in paying large sums of money to Chyna anymore as part of their child custody deal. Rob said he had to sell off his sock company to Kris Jenner as a result of his dealings with the Lashed Bar owner.
