Rumors have been swirling that Bethenny Frankel, one of the most popular cast members Real Housewives of New York, is leaving the show at the end of the season, and her recent admission that shooting season ten was “emotionally draining” is adding fuel to the fire.
The reality star was a member of the original cast back in 2008, and then she left in 2010 only to return in 2014. And, she says that she thinks about leaving again “every so often.”
“I honestly don’t know. I have to make this decision each season,” she told The Metro U.K. when they asked about her plans for the future.
Frankel went on to talk about how emotionally draining this season was, and she admits that she took on too much with the Puerto Rico effort. She explained that if you combine that with motherhood, her career, three renovations, and three TV shows, it resulted in her hitting the wall.
The 47-year-old said that she is focused on philanthropy, but she hit the wall so hard she had to revisit her life, her choices, and her own personal happiness. There is no denying that Frankel is a busy woman. She has become quite the entrepreneur since launching her Skinnygirl brand, and she has also set herself up as a property investor, which has become an interesting talking point on RHONY.
Frankel got into a heated argument with Ramona Singer over real estate when she told her that they could talk when Singer started being successful, but that wasn’t the first time she has run into trouble for expressing her honest – and sometimes biting – opinion.
But, when it comes to feeling bad about some of the potentially hurtful things she has said, Frankel says she “doesn’t believe in regret.” The mom of one says that bonding happens for different reasons, and this season she, Luann de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan all needed to make a change in their lives. Frankel ended up growing close to de Lesseps after Palm Beach, Florida police arrested her for a variety of charges last December.
Frankel stuck by her friend and says that de Lesseps handled her negative situation in an impressive way – she faced it head on and moved forward. She revealed that she felt genuine compassion and connection with her. And, it just happened, and it was something she couldn’t explain.

As for her friendship with Carole Radziwill, Frankel says that there “was a shift,” and things between them got intense this season. But, she loves her and enjoys being on the show with her because it has been a great experience.
You can see how Carole Radziwill and Bethenny Frankel’s friendship plays out on new episodes of Real Housewives of New York which air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
