Carole Radziwill announced last week that she is leaving Real Housewives of New York City thanks, in part, to her icy relationship with Bethenny Frankel. But a source close to the show says that Radziwill isn’t the only one in the cast who doesn’t feel the love for the SkinnyGirl mogul.
According to TMZ, most of the women on the show aren’t fans of Frankel because she is toxic, negative, and talks trash about everybody. But to avoid trouble, everyone tries to stay on her good side. Insiders say that because of her success, Frankel acts high and mighty around everyone, and refuses to acknowledge everyone else’s success before their time on RHONY.

Even though Radziwill says that she chose to leave the show to focus on her journalism career, rumors are swirling that Bravo fired her because of an ultimatum from Frankel.
“I spoke with someone very intimately involved with the show, and they said to me that she was fired, and they pointed me to the statement. They said if you take a look, she’s a writer, she’s very careful with her words. She doesn’t definitively say ‘I made the choice to leave, I told them I was leaving.’ They said she was fired,” said a reporter during a recent broadcast of Page Six TV.
Gossip columnist Rob Shuter said during an appearance on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast that Radziwill’s fight with Frankel led to her exit. He said that when Frankel wants to turn on you, she will. And, if you are going to be on RHONY and Frankel doesn’t want you around anymore, the “chances of you surviving aren’t good.”
Another blog claims that Frankel gave Bravo the “her or me ultimatum,” but other sources say that the network didn’t fire Radziwill. And, a production source says that the RHONY producers didn’t want Radziwill to leave at all.

When she announced her departure, Radziwill said that it shouldn’t come as a surprise to viewers, and her curiosity about reality TV has waned over the years. She added that she wanted to focus on TV and writing projects that better suit her steady temperament, and she was happy to leave her frenemies behind.
Carole Radziwill concluded that she would remember her time on RHONY with humor, delight, and a veracious accuracy.
She joined the show during season five, and during the current season ten her storyline has focused on her feud with Frankel. Sources say that the two women were never able to reconcile, and the show couldn’t go another season with them at each other’s throats. But, there was no way Bethenny Frankel would leave because the last time that happened the show went to hell.
New episodes of Real Housewives of New York City air Wednesday nights on Bravo.
