On the latest episode of Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel admitted that she and the late Dennis Shields realized they weren’t meant for each other, just a few days before he tragically passed away. According to sources, Bethenny thinks the idea that she is somehow responsible for his tragic overdose is ludicrous.
“For the last couple of days, Bethenny has really been trying to come to terms with Dennis’ death; it was really shocking for all of us, but especially her.”
The insider said, “Shields passed away seemingly instantaneously, and everyone is really upset about it.” As most would expect, Frankel and his friends and family thought that, perhaps, there was something they could do.
Currently, gossip tabloids are claiming the most recent episode of Real Housewives may have had something to do with his death, but sources close to Frankel say those rumors are just untrue.
The insider explained, “the show is pre-recorded, so Dennis and Frankel knew where they both stood in the relationship, and Bethenny was always honest with him, so I highly doubt that it was a surprise for him.”
As you may know, the idea that someone may be responsible for the death of another, especially regarding suicide or in Dennis’ case, an overdose, is really not news; people are always looking for a scapegoat.
People have different ways of coping, and in North American society, the way we deal with death isn’t that helpful. Other cultures have ritualistic ceremonies that sometimes last a week.
Previously, fans accused Asia Argento of being responsible for the passing of Anthony Bourdain, the infamous celebrity chef, and TV show personality. Anthony died in June due to suicide by hanging. CNN released a statement confirming his death shortly after the media reported that Bourdain passed away in France.
