Bellamy Young and the rest of the cast and crew on the set of Scandal are going their separate ways. The series is scheduled to finish its seventh season this spring on ABC, and the team is finishing up the final details before saying goodbye to the beloved production once and for all.
According to Bellamy, when speaking with reporters on the red carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation, she stated there wasn’t a single person who didn’t tear up during the final reading of the script.
Young claimed she and her castmates were nearly in tears as they read the final chapter.
The actress said, “yeah, it was crazy.” And while it’s undoubtedly sad that the series is coming to an end, Young revealed she is merely thankful for the time she had together with the people whom with she worked.

She added, “we’re so grateful that we knew, though, because what if they called us and said, ‘Oh, that last season you did was your last season.'”
Bellamy – who recently criticized Ryan Seacrest because of the sexual misconduct allegations against him – claimed it was vital for them to know because they cherished every single last moment working together.
She explained, “eighteen episodes to enjoy every moment and then begin to say goodbye.”
Despite the fact she’s moving on to bigger and better things in the next couple of years, Bellamy conceded that she probably wouldn’t be able to replace the people she worked with on Scandal. She said, “this will still always be the most special family.”
