Even if Bella Hadid is currently one of the most important models that are walking the runway, she wasn’t always as self-confident as she is today. She recently opened up about her brows and ‘chubby face.’
‘I think I had more beauty insecurities growing up than probably anybody,’ Bella told Cosmopolitan at the launch of Dior Addict Lacquer Plump.
‘Growing up, I was always self-conscious about my brows, but I never knew that you could do something about it. I’ve always had really thin brows; I got them from my dad. I was also kind of chubbier growing up until I was 15, so there were a lot of things I had to grow into — I had to grow into my face a lot. I wasn’t very secure with myself until recently,’ she continued her confession.
She revealed that she keeps her brows thin, but she also fills them in with a pencil. She also said that she contours her face to add a bit of definition.
It seems that even supermodels can hate or at least dislike what they see in the mirror sometimes and they’re prone to the same level of anxiety just like regular people.
Back in 2017, she discussed this matter with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia confessing about how she feels pressured to get plastic surgery.
‘The hardest part is being judged, and that’s what they talk to me about,’ she stated back then.
‘It’s really sad because it doesn’t happen just in America or just in Europe, it happens everywhere in the world. Bullying is a crazy thing,’ the model concluded.
Bella is also currently doing everything she can to support her sister, Gigi Hadid who just broke up with her boyfriend, Zayn Malik. Bella’s plans include convincing her sister to take a trip somewhere only with the girls.
