Becca Kufrin was definitely charmed by Garrett Yrigoyen as soon as he showed up on her Bachelorette season premiere! But following his social media scandal, does she feel the same way?
It sounds like Becca, as well as the fans, are pretty conflicted about it due to some reports that paint him as transphobic, a feminist hater and more!
As you may be aware, the drama surrounding Garrett started when a former Bachelor contestant exposed the fact that he had allegedly liked memes and pictures mocking immigrants, Parkland shooting survivors, feminists and transgender people.
Amid the backlash, the man decided to delete his account.
Becca addressed the scandal, and it sounds like she wants people to keep an open mind just like her.
‘I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through the season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men… because that is how I went into this journey. I did things in the past that I am sure were not the best, but I just want people to stay open-minded to everyone,’ she told ET.
She did not explain whether or not she had changed her opinion of the man following the reports, which by the way, was pretty good in the first episode when she gave Garrett the first impression rose.
But if the allegations turn out to be true ‘We would have a discussion about it. We’d get to the bottom of it, and we’d find a solution.’
‘I cannot fault on anyone for what they believe and who is to say that anyone’s truly what they believe in if they just double tap. I cannot speak to that because that is just not me. I’m a strong woman, and I believe in certain things, but again, that is what’s so great about our country – everyone’s entitled to their own opinions,’ she reasoned.
Do you think Becca is right or not?
