Malia Obama has to deal with a lot now that she is on her own at Harvard.
At a recent event, Michelle Obama revealed that her 19-year-old daughter is constantly being harassed by so-called fans while strolling on campus with her friends or rushing to her next class.
The young woman is approached by 20 to 30 strangers each day as she is trying to go about her business.
According to the concerned mother, these people bombard Malia with questions about her life, her family, and often want a selfie or an autograph that they will probably sell on eBay to the highest bidder.
The former first lady said it is very difficult for Malia and “fame is a monster.”
The ex-FLOTUS wished people would give her child some privacy to be a regular college student.
The eldest daughter of Barack and Michelle recently had a strange encounter with a grandmother who did not understand the meaning of the word no.
The teenager lashed out at the senior woman who refused to leave her alone and continued to take her picture without her permission.
She went on to say that she is hoping that her daughter will react with “empathy and grace” to those requesting pictures and comments on Donald Trump’s presidency and other political topics.
Malia, who just started her freshman year at Harvard, is also learning to deal with wild rumors and fake news.
Several media outlets have published an inaccurate story claiming that Malia was arrested while smoking marijuana.
The fake story goes like this: “Apparently, Malia’s weed habit has gotten worse because she was just caught in a massive marijuana bust in her home city of Chicago, Illinois. Malia was caught buying weed edibles from two of her thug friends as well as enough pot to make thug rapper Snoop Dogg look like an amateur, according to sources within Chicago’s elite Drug Task Force.”
It goes on to say: “Officers first observed Obama pulling up to a street corner and blinking her lights six times,” a spokesman for the department says. “She then spoke with an African-American male, who got into her car. Then they drove to a building a few blocks over. She walked upstairs with the man then came back down 30 minutes later,” the spokesman says. “It was then that officers made their move.”
I hope it’s true daughter like father https://t.co/aovtcwcuN8

The fake and absurd report also ricocheted throughout social media like the example above.
Some fans and foes will make it hard for Malia to have a normal life and be a regular student after being in the public eye for the past eight years.
