For those who were desperately hoping that Peter Kraus would be announced as the brand new Bachelor and were crushed when that didn’t happen, there’s good news after all.
It looks like the Bachelorette fan favorite has gotten such a buzz and positive reception as a contestant, that the show’s producers have decided to create a completely new show that will feature the stud.
Though it hasn’t been confirmed, many people believe that the reason why Kraus wasn’t picked to be the new Bachelor for the upcoming season, is because he doesn’t want to feel pressure to propose after a six-week whirlwind courtship.
The proposal that is expected is an integral part of the framework of the original Bachelor and Bachelorette and wasn’t something that worked for Kraus as he likes to take his time and doesn’t want to rush into marriage.
This was the major point of contention between him and last season’s Bachelorette Rachel Lindsey. Despite the two having an obvious connection and great relationship, his reluctance to propose was what caused their very public breakup.
Regardless of many viewers craving some type of proposal and a happy ending, Kraus has become one of the most popular and highly praised cast members ever on either version of the show.
While castoffs of previous seasons have gotten second changes at love on the spinoff show Bachelor In Paradise, a brand new show has been developed that Kraus will appear on.
The new spinoff will be called Bachelor Winter Games, which will take some past contestants from the many years this show has aired and allow them to train extensively for physical challenges, all while living in a house together and potentially making love connections.
The spinoff is going to air sometime in February of 2018 and will be set in the hills of Vermont where contestants will compete in athletic challenges strongly influenced by winter Olympic sports. Kraus is a personal trainer and has the perfect physique for this type of challenge.
No other additional cast members have been announced but given his appeal and popularity, Kraus doing the show will be a ratings win for the ABC franchise.
