After a public claim of abuse in their toxic marriage, Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan have come to an agreement in court regarding next steps. The two have been married for a little less than a year and have a 15-month-old daughter together.
A couple of weeks ago, The Hills star Patridge, filed for a temporary restraining order and a divorce within days of each other. The beauty claimed that her BMX pro hubby had been physically abusive to her and she feared for her safety.
What’s more frightening is that Patridge claimed her husband would abuse her with their young daughter nearby. Apparently, he went as far as to push her while Patridge was holding the child.
In a courtroom in Orange County, California, the agreement was reached that Bohan would move out of the couple’s shared home.
Reports say that the mood in the courtroom was very relaxed though Patridge did not turn to look at Bohan when he entered. Based on the sources in the courtroom, she looked directly ahead and didn’t acknowledge Bohan’s presence.
“Audrina’s number 1 priority is her daughter right now. She just needs privacy at this time,” Patridge’s rep told news outlets.
Though Patridge did file for a temporary restraining order just days before filing for divorce, Bohan ended up not being charged due to lack of evidence.
The two have been seen together once publicly since this story broke. A week ago, Patridge dropped off their daughter to Bohan. That type of parental handoff may be what’s imminent for the two as they will no longer be living together and the judge urged them to be the “best parents they can be” amid this difficult time.
Divorce proceedings typically take at least a year in the state of California so there will undoubtedly be additional court dates and logistics to be worked out in this case. Ultimately, the emotional, mental and physical wellbeing of all involved are of the most paramount importance.
