The former star of Real Housewives of Orange County, Lauri Peterson, is suffering a lot because of her son’s problems with the law. We have learned that the attempted murder charges against Josh Waring got dropped yesterday. However, immediately after, the charges were re-filed because it was determined that the man’s right to a quick preliminary hearing was violated.
The being said, the 28-year-old faces, once again, three counts of attempted murder.
Reports say that the worried mother was at the Friday hearing and took notes while listening quietly.
As fans of Real Housewives of Orange County may remember, the star’s son was accused of attempted murder after he opened fire on two people on June 20, 2016.
Following the shooting, Waring also led the police on a wild car chase.
The prosecutors dealing with the case allege that Peterson’s son shot and hurt a man, while other two people were nearby but were not injured.
While he was spending time behind bars, his wife Hannah filed for divorce after claiming he threatened to stab her.
She also filed a temporary restraining order against him, noting that his alcohol and drug use were out of control.
‘I am terrified … I fear my family, myself, or my belongings will be hurt or destroyed,’ Hannah stated in the documents.
The reality TV star appeared on the show alongside his mother until Peterson left in 2009.
As she supported her son through his legal drama, Peterson, who was one of the original Housewives, only made guest appearances in recent years.
