Even though Ashton Kutcher has a reputation as somewhat of a pretty boy, that image has begun to fade with age. Another thing to fade is Ashton’s hairline, something which he has accepted though, thankfully.
During an appearance on Conan on Monday night to promote his Netflix series, The Ranch, Conan said that he “always looks good.” The talk show host told the That 70’s Show alum that he’s got “good hair.”
The 40-year-old actor revealed, “I’m going a little bit though, I’m losing it.” According to the small-screen star, he’s slowly saying “goodbye” to his hair. The actor ran his fingers through his hair while he told the world his struggles with age.
Kutcher said that, when he was 25-years-old, someone recommended him to a hair doctor, and they put him on a medication called, Avodart. He asked, “have you ever heard of this stuff?”
Men all over the world begin to worry about aging the day their hair starts falling out. A chemical by-product created by testosterone in the bloodstream actually leads to hair loss when it flourishes through the body after a long period of time.
For some men, it happens when they’re in the early twenties, while for others, it occurs much later. Kutcher explained, “so you take this stuff and it washes away the byproduct of testosterone.”
And while it appeared to work, once he and his wife, Mila Kunis, decided to have children together, he began to worry about the possible hormonal-inducing side effects. Would Kutcher be able to have kids if he continued to take this stuff?
Thankfully, after he stopped taking it, that was no longer a worry.
And his method of dealing with hair loss? Ashton has always been the baseball-cap kind of guy, so he’s at least got a way of dealing with it that is inconspicuous.
And this isn’t the first time that Ashton has spoke about aging in Hollywood. Back in February, the actor told Dax Shepard that after he stopped taking drugs, his hair began falling out. However, he’s got kids, so his priorities have changed.
