Ashley Graham recently took a bit of a break from her workout routines to jaunt around Europe for a few weeks. In fact, she even posted a video in Paris explaining that she planned to “eat my way through Europe.” Now that the vacation has come to a close, it’s time for her to get back to reality. The first step was getting herself back to being active as she returned to her favorite gym in New York City called the Dogpound for her first workout back.
As is the case with anything you take a bit of time off of, it can be difficult to get back in the groove of things.
Perhaps that doesn’t apply to Graham, because she looks like a complete picturesque vision of strength and grit in a video she posted of her digging deep doing weighted lunges with a resistance band.
While lifting the side of a heavy barbell she balances on a leg and lunges. This is a full body workout as it activates every single part of her body.
Her husband, Justin Ervin, holds the other sides of the bands down as he stands behind her, offering verbal encouragement and playful taps on her behind.
It seems that those boost of endorphins she received at the start of the week caused her and hubby Erwin to come back for more as they returned to the gym early Wednesday as well.
The great thing about Graham is that she makes it clear that exercise isn’t just for those who want to bulk up or lose weight but for anyone who wants to be strong, break a sweat and be healthy.
She isn’t going to accept the narrative that because she’s not a size 4, she somehow doesn’t workout or isn’t interested in her health and the betterment of her body.
Graham is a fierce, strong, outspoken beauty who continues to take the fashion world by storm.
