Being in trouble with the law is not an oddity for the heroes on The CW’s Arrow, but what Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) did at the end of Season 6 was pretty unique. Not only did Oliver come clean about being the Green Arrow, but he voluntarily went to prison to stop Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) from destroying Star City.
With the Season 7 premiere right around the corner, Amell talked about what’s ahead for Oliver now that he’s behind bars and what will become of Team Arrow without their fearless leader.

With Oliver in prison, Amell admitted that he ran into a few challenges filming Season 7. At one point, Amell realized that he hadn’t filmed a scene with a regular co-star in months because all of his shots were done in prison. Amell also spent a good deal of time in a single room, something he had not experienced through the first 6 years on the show.
While fans might expect Oliver to quickly establish his dominance in the yard, Amell revealed that he’s just trying to stay out of trouble and keep out of fights.
Fans, of course, have no idea how long Oliver will remain behind bars. While the hero deals with a new environment, his friends outside of prison are doing their best to stay alive.

According to IGN, Amell talked about how none of the members of Team Arrow are fighting crime because that would go against everything Oliver did last season. Instead, the show will introduce a new Team Arrow this season, complete with a new leader.
Stephen Amell refused to dish out too many details, but it will be exciting to see what characters are brought into the fold — including the return of Roy Harper (Colton Haynes).
Fans can find out how Oliver handles prison life when the new Season of Arrow kicks off Oct. 15 on The CW.
