Ariana Grande is moving fast with her new boyfriend Pete Davidson. It’s only been a month since the two hooked up yet they’re already talking about getting hitched. With a wedding in the works, Grande’s family is worried that the marriage might cost her a lot of money.
An inside source claims that family members are urging Grande to draw up a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot with Davidson. The singer is worth around $45 million dollars and her family is worried that she could lose her fortune in the event of a breakup. Davidson, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, has a fortune of around $2 million.
While Grande’s family is pushing for a prenup, the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer isn’t listening to their advice.
According to Life & Style, Grande is completely smitten by Davidson and is not afraid to rush into a long-term relationship. With things progressing fast, her family is starting to freak out about her future with the SNL star. “She says she knows in her soul that she and Pete will be together forever,” the insider shared. “But that’s exactly why her parents are worried – she barely knows Pete!”
While Grande is looking forward to the wedding, her relationship with Davidson isn’t without its share of challenges. Davidson recently found himself in some hot water after making a joke about the terrorist attack at one of Grande’s concerts last year.
After fans asked Grande why she did not dump Davidson in light of the comment, she took to Twitter to defend what he said. The singer admitted that she was torn over the joke but assured fans that no harm was meant on his behalf.
The comment came last fall after a hurricane devastated Puerto Rico. At the time, Davidson joked that the attack proved that Grande was more famous than Britney Spears because you never see her go through similar situations.
Davidson and Grande were not together when he made the comment, which sparked outrage from those who lost family members in the attack. In fact, many people on social media demanded that Davidson apologize for the joke.
Although Grande defended her boyfriend, she admitted that she did not think the joke was funny at the time.
Pete Davidson has not commented on the rumors surrounding his relationship with Ariana Grande or the joke he made about the terror attacks.
