Ariana Grande paid some tribute to her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller earlier today. The singer took to Instagram Stories to post a video of the rapper in a suit, talking to Ariana’s grandmother.
At some point during the clip, Mac can be seen looking back at Ariana and smiling as she was filming the adorable interaction.
As fans know, two months ago, Mac Miller passed away of a reported drug overdose.
The rapper, who was only 26 years old was found in his Studio City home.
Previous insider reports have claimed that Ariana Grande was ‘truly devastated’ by the tragedy and that she thinks she might never get over the painful loss.
Alongside the footage, the singer also wrote: ‘i cannot believe you are not here anymore. i can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i am so mad, i’m so sad i do not know what to do. you were my dear friend. for so long. above everything else. i am so sorry i could not fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you are okay now. rest.’
After Mac’s passing, one source told E! News that ‘Ariana has not given herself enough time for the grieving and healing process, and she feels like her emotions are out of control.’
It looks like those emotions may be the what eventually caused Ariana to break her engagement with Pete Davidson.
‘She’s been battling her feelings and knows that she needs to take time for herself right now,’ the insider added.
Apparently, ‘Ever since Mac passed, she’s been avoiding the grieving process and she has been trying to keep herself insanely busy… Ariana wants to keep going, keep recording music and move on with her life, but understands that she needs to deal with her emotions too.’
