We finally know what Ariana Grande thinks of her fiance’s insensitive joke about the terrorist attack that took place at her Manchester concert and which killed 23 people. As you may be aware, SNL star Pete Davidson has been under hot water lately after a stand-up comedy bit he did about the tragedy surfaced.
He reportedly mocked the singer by suggesting that now Ariana knows just how popular she is as ‘Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.’
After days of social media users wanting an explanation from Ariana as far as what she thinks about her fiance’s joke is concerned, or if she even knew, the star finally broke her silence.
Today, one fan tweeted this message at her: ‘I respect Ariana and I really want her to be happy, but she was just so broken after the Manchester bombing, so I do not know why she’s still with Pete. Like, yeah, he made that joke a while ago, but like it isn’t funny, it is just rude. This is my opinion.’
‘This has been [very] tough and conflicting on my heart. He uses comedy to help people feel better about how f**ked up things in this world are,’ Ariana replied, standing by her man.
She went on to further explain that ‘We all deal with trauma differently. I, of course, did not find it funny. It was months ago, and his intention was not/ is never malicious, but it was unfortunate.’
So the conclusion is that regardless of how Pete’s joke came across, Ariana continues to support him.
Meanwhile, Pete doesn’t seem too fazed by the negative headlines either!
The comedian has been busy being in love and showing it off all over social media as well as during public outings with Ariana where they’re both always smiling.
